Born in the music-laden metropolis of Atlanta, Georgia, Polow Da Don exemplifies the vision and work ethic that after a decade of diligence has afforded him the rank as the go- to hitmaker of the millennium. From his launch as a reputable MC in the Hip-Hop group Jim Crow to producing chart toppers for artists such as Jamie Foxx, Ciara, Pussycat Dolls, Fergie, Ludacris, Chris Brown, Mario and New Kids On The Block – Polow Da Don has indeed begun a legacy of pioneering sound.
Ms. Fergie screaming his name at the beginning of her 2006 summer hit “London Bridge” introduced the rapper-turned-producer to the world. This set the stage for Polow Da Don to bless music lovers with his musical contributions through established artists and to propel new recording artists like his own Rich Boy to the top. The Polow touch has proven to urbanize Pop Music and bring mainstream success to Urban Artists. This unique ability emphasizes that music essentially has no boundaries and that hit records are driven by one thing, creative innovation.
Through Polow’s influence, his mark on the music industry has achieved new heights with the major endorsements with Wrigley’s Chris Brown “Forever” campaign and Coca-Cola’s “Open Happiness” campaign.
As life continues to improve for Da Don, so do the communities that raised him. On July 16, 2009, Polow introduced Foundation F.O.C.U.S. (Focusing on Completion Until Successful) whose purpose is to create several events, workshops and environments for children and families in underserved areas that normally wouldn’t be privy to these opportunities. Through various community events and activities, Foundation F.O.C.U.S.’ programs will assist at-risk youth in their efforts to ensure children develop goals and not concede defeat.
With a distribution deal through Interscope and Def Jam, Polow has created his own label, Zone 4, Inc. which houses artists such as Rich Boy, Keri Hilson, Lloyd, Roscoe Dash, Dan Talevski, Jared Evan and Timothy Bloom.
